The psychological portrait is a photographic representation of private world of the person. Such portrait urged to reflect depth of feelings, emotions and sensations of model, to reflect the person in the unique moment, reflect an instant in a never-ending stream of acts of man.
A good portrait it not that is similar to model, and that is not similar to anybody another. It opens private world of the person, its character, but does not do it directly. After all it is obvious that the photo never fascinates us so strongly as when we, intensifying attention, we understand only half of its language. The latent harmony is much stronger than the obvious. Beauty visible - on a surface. And invisible - beauty of relations and nuances - inside.
In my opinion, the portrait becomes psychological when it is created not only for the sake of external similarity, is more true at all for the sake of external similarity, and for the sake of the psychology opening private world of the person when the photographer draws the person not an appearance plot, and thin psychological notes of character. After all, in a photo, as well as in other arts, the form is only a way of transfer of the maintenance. And if something becomes only for the sake of the form, product cannot be high-grade.
People on my works are images. Not far-fetched theatrical images of the actors ornamented by a make-up, and bright images of. Interpretation of these images open for interpretation. I try to avoid the artificiality destroying the human truth. In the works I would like to speak about eternal things, than about fleeting episodes of our life more. From time to time not clearly what, actually is fixed action, but this uncertainty is especially interesting. In each image - ambiguity, the secret - a starting point for serious reflexions. On it, characteristic property of many portraits is their innuendo. The model condition is not clear to the spectator. It does a picture multiple-valued - everyone can introduce in it the maintenance. In this case the spectator can only "gassed" that the author really wishes to transfer.
In my portraits I try to transform people into "symbols of", showing in a photo that instant in which people open themselves, appear without falseness, without pretentiousness, such natural and as much as possible emotional.
One hand constantly moves a unique light source, eyes analyze a composition, the chamber does the part. I film all projects only. Unlimited aspiration to image sharpness - not for me. I consider that it is very far from original problems of the Photo. The portrait should it will turn out simple and strong. Can be slightly oddish.
It means one - it is necessary to make a photo of more difficult. Characters out of subject, out of a material context. Any surroundings, only object on a grey background. An information maximum at a minimum of graphic means.
But simple forms is only a way and means. An essence - the dim and imperceptible condition when the sensation of a reality does not give in to check on the validity, but to it and is seductive. To open sense much bigger, than it can be appreciable not armed sight. In my opinion, creation of this of "a psychological intrigue" also is my primary goal as photographer.
I try to introduce the aesthetics in each photo. It occurs intuitively. I try to bring movement and breath in each picture. From it it seems that I "silly" place figures in a shot and I pack. It some kind of author's reception on which always it is possible to distinguish my photos from others.
In bared natures I also carry some works to "portraits". "The psychological bared portrait" which figurative decision can turn out much more capacious and with the big accent of individuality turns out such.
